Zhou Maohua, male, currently serves as Chief Physician in the Department of Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery at Tianjin Armed Police 8630 Hospital. He has been engaged in clinical plastic and cosmetic surgery for 25 years. By combining a profound theoretical foundation with practical surgical experience, he has developed his own plastic surgery concepts and methods. Dr. Zhou has won seven Science and Technology Progress Awards, published more than 30 plastic surgery papers, completed or undertaken 6 research projects at provincial level or above, and was awarded a Third-Class Merit Citation by the Armed Police Force once. He was the chief surgeon for an early sex reassignment surgery in Tianjin—Jingjing's sex reassignment surgery—and was also the plastic surgeon for Xiaoli, the girl with facial asymmetry in China's Rose Action.
